There was an awful lot of rubbish produced in the 60's and 70's that sold itself as Pop Art. It lacked structure and form and were basically blocks of colour.
This Lithograph by Ray Fawcett is an example of good Pop Art, admittedly slightly later than it's true hay day. The arrangement of shapes and colours produce an emotional picture which is both happy and intriguing.
