WILL MORRIS B.1920

Will was born in 1920 and studied at the Leicester School of Art, followed by the Royal college of art in London.

The war interrupted his studies and he enlisted. There followed a series of dramatic incidents and he had what he described as “an interesting if somewhat frightening time”. He returned to the RCA and graduated, then taking a teaching diploma. During the 1940’s and 50’s he taught art and painted, exhibiting at all of the major London and provincial institutions. His early work concentrated on figurative and representation subjects, but by the late 50’s his pictures had taken on aN abstract figurative feel, a style with which he was very comfortable.

As an artist, he was always trying to express his feelings and emotions and this is richly displayed in his vibrant and exciting paintings. He was an artist of great quality.
